Another St. Lucie Mets season is upon us, and the fan experience promises to be a whole new ballgame at Clover Park in St. Lucie West.
“We are excited to begin our 38th season of baseball in the Treasure Coast community,” said Adam MacDonald, the Mets’ senior manager of multimedia, ahead of the Mets’ scheduled home opener April 7 against the Dunedin Blue Jays.
“Clover Park is a wonderful place to bring the family and experience the game of baseball in a fun and affordable environment. Throughout the season we will have promotions and nights that will tailor to all types of fans. The team is full of energy and ready to put on a show in 2026.”
The entertainment plate will be full as special events and activities are scheduled at home games on a weekly basis.
On Tuesdays, Silver Sluggers (memberships available to 55+ fans) get free admission and a hot dog.
Thursday games feature $2 hot dogs, beer, soda and popcorn. Fridays are a big deal at Clover Park with the focus on Vets at the Mets; all veterans and active-duty military members get in free courtesy of LYNQ Reality.
In addition, kids 14 and under can run the bases after the game. Saturday means community night with the team wearing specialty jerseys to support a different local nonprofit or charity. Postgame fireworks end the evening with a bang.
The Mets opened the season last weekend on the road against the Palm Beach Cardinals in Jupiter, and did so featuring three of their top 30 prospects – infielders Elian Peña and Randy Guzman, and pitcher Cam Tilly.
Eighteen-year-old headliner Peña, who is from the Dominican Republic, was the No. 3 ranked player in the 2025 international class when he signed with the Mets. He started his pro career on an ignominious 0-for-26 streak at the plate before “catching fire” and hitting nine home runs in 46 games for the rest of the season. He was also the only player in the Dominican Summer League to have multiple three-homerun games.
Guzman returns to the St. Lucie Mets after playing 26 games with the team in 2025. He was the Florida State Player of the Week winner during the last week of July when he went 11-for-25 with five doubles and eight RBIs. For the season he batted .333 with 13 doubles, three homers and 24 RBIs.
Tilly, a member of the World Cup-winning U.S. 18 and under national team in 2022, made his debut last week. He is the highest drafted player on the roster, selected in the seventh round out of Auburn last summer. He pitched two seasons as an Auburn Tiger and recorded 58 strikeouts in 46 innings in 2025.
The team is led by manager Luis Rivera who is entering his 21st season in the organization as a coach or player. It will be his second year managing the St. Lucie Mets. Other members of the coaching staff include pitching coach David Mervis and assistant pitching coach Jimmy Nelson. Bryan Muniz is the hitting coach and Jonathon Cramman is a bench and assistant hitting coach.
